mn spice softball welcomes families for 2026-2027

The 2026–27 MN Spice Softball season officially got underway Thursday night as players, families and coaches from across the program came together for the MN Spice Family Kick Off at Park Tavern in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

The evening brought the MN Spice softball community together to celebrate the start of a new season, meet new teammates and families, and begin building the relationships that make the program more than just a collection of softball teams.

Families enjoyed a meal and time to connect with other families in the program, while players met their teammates and coaches and participated in team bonding activities. It was an opportunity for players to get comfortable with their new teams, have some fun and start building the team chemistry that will be important throughout the 2026–27 softball season.

Head Coach Tarek Morey also spoke with families about the philosophy behind MN Spice Softball and what players and families can expect throughout the year. He shared the importance of positivity, strong expectations, teamwork and creating a supportive environment where every player has the opportunity to grow.

At MN Spice, competitive softball is about more than what happens on the field. The program is focused on helping young women become better softball players while also developing confidence, accountability, resilience and the ability to be a great teammate.

The Kick Off event gave players and families a chance to see the people behind their teams and get a feel for the culture they will be part of throughout the season. From new players joining the program to returning families welcoming new teammates, the evening was a fun start to another year of Minnesota youth softball.

As the 2026–27 season gets underway, MN Spice Softball is looking forward to a year filled with competition, development, teamwork and plenty of fun.
